The 6MB400-4 was designed to provide outstanding durability as well as a smooth punch of mid bass. This 6.5″ professional loudspeaker midbass is purpose-built to cover the critical frequency range in a three-way speaker setup, but also works great as a door speaker in car audio applications, a pro audio version is available at 8 Ohm,6MB400.

Built with many premium components to ensure absolute high sound fidelity, one of which is its compact push terminals, which connect to its silver tinsel lead wires attached to its high temperature CCAW voice coil.

Don’t underestimate its compact motor design! Featuring the latest technology, we can increase tremendously the magnet field without huge magnet, making this midbass one of its kinda, small profile capable of handling high power!

Featuring a naturally damp paper cone, this professional speaker is able to cover a wide range of frequencies from 95 Hz to 7,500 Hz in three-way systems.

Developed to perform well in tight enclosures, its double roll surround keeps cone travel linear at high excursion. The right combination of cone and suspension gives this speaker an excellent human vocal reproduction with dynamic midbass sound.

Recommended Amplifier configurations and crossover HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP or the amplifier filter, when using the recommended power below:

Stereo System, Low Power
2 Speakers – 1x QS800.4 2 Ohm, One Speaker per Channel ( using CH1 & CH2)
• Fixed HPF from amplifier – 90 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover
– May use the other 2 free channels on the amplifier for tweeters.

Stereo System, High Power
2 or 4 Speakers – 1x MDX1200.2 2 Ohm, 1 or 2 Speakers per Channel
• Fixed HPF from amplifier – 80 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover
when using up to 300 Watts RMS musical power

Custom System, High Power
4 Speakers – 1x MDX1800.1 at 1 Ohm, 4 speakers in parallel
• 90 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18
when using up to 400 Watts RMS musical power

If you have compression drivers on your system the recommended LPF is 4,200 at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18 but you may set it lower to blend in better depending on the other components in your system, or you may not use a LPF at low power to take advantage of its high frequency response.

**Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
