Designed for extreme car audio enthusiasts, PRV Audio’s 10MR1200X loudspeakers represent the ultimate in midrange performance.

Our R&D department pushed the output limits on a midrange speaker, creating unique sound reproduction and with high output levels, making it our top of the line midrange PRO audio speaker.

The light weight cone provides excellent vocal and instrument response, taking performance to the next level with high output levels over +133dB between 260 to 4,200Hz.

Designed to achieve consistent high output levels at low distortion for the best listening experience. Everything about this speaker is designed to achieve consistent high output levels, when driven to its limits.

When pushed to incredible output levels, this mid can produce incredible dynamic tones and a deep vocal response that is unmatched due to its high power handling and 101 dB sensitivity.

Thanks to its 3″ inside/outside voice coil wrapped on a glass fiber former with reinforced glue for heat resistance, this mid can handle forces of 1200 watts RMS at ease.

Made to be a class leading midrange in the pro audio realm, this midrange
loudspeaker is best in its class for professional audio or (musical instrument)
speaker system applications, and large car audio competition systems.

Recommended Amplifier configurations and crossover points:

4 Speakers – 1x QS5000 at 2 Ohm, 4 speakers in parallel
8 Speakers – 1x QS9000 at 1 Ohm, 8 speakers in parallel

Recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP when using up to 1200 Watts RMS musical power ( without clipping )

  • 150 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12
  • 140 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18

If you have compression drivers on your system the recommended LPF is 4,000 at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18 but you may set it lower to blend in better depending on the other components in your system, or you may not use a LPF at low power to take advantage of its high frequency response.

*Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.

**Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation.

***Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
