Features

The 10MB500-4 is the official PRV Audio 10″ Chuchero speaker! This midbass loudspeaker is an excellent choice for any compact enclosure where deep, punchy midbass with high vocal output reinforcement is needed.

This new 10” midbass speaker has everything you want in a lightweight pro audio loudspeaker, without sacrificing performance we have designed a small profile, featuring a strong compact ferrite motor, keeping its weight under 9 pounds.

Featuring a lightweight pressed paper cone and high density pressed dust cap, it makes this midbass speaker able to cover a wide range of frequencies from 65 Hz to 5,500 Hz with authority.

Engineered to perform well in tight enclosures, this speaker features a double-roll surround that keeps cone movement linear during high midbass excursion. A precisely matched cone and voice coil design delivers an impressive 97 dB sensitivity for high output with less power.

Recommended Amplifier configurations and crossover points:

2 Speakers – 1x MDX1200.2 1 Ohm, Bridged both speakers in parallel
4 Speakers – 1x QS2000 at 1 Ohm, 4 speakers in parallel

Recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP when using up to 500 Watts RMS musical power

  • 100 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12
  • 95 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18

If you have a compression driver on your system the recommended LPF is 2,200 at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / LR18 but you may set it lower to blend in better depending on the other components in your system, or you may not use a LPF at low power to take advantage of its high frequency response.

**Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
