This 8″ shallow midrange loudspeaker established the new benchmark for vocal reproduction for outdoor applications, making it ideal for improving the sound system in your boat, UTV, 4 wheeler, Slingshot or Motorcycle. Due to the premium materials used in its construction, such as a carbon fiber cone, a high-temperature voice coil, and a strong neodymium magnet motor, this speaker produces its natural sound with remarkably low distortion.

Aside from its attractive appearance, this carbon fiber cone is exceptionally light, surprisingly rigid, and provides great damping to keep narrow peaks under control. Despite its extremely compact design, our technical team was able to achieve precision in the vocal reproduction range, resulting in the famous PRV audio PRO Audio sound.

A special treated surround and flat spider suspend the cone and keep it linear through the limits of excursion with minimal restriction, further improving dynamics and transients.

This midrange features many premium components, one of which is stitched lead wires, which connect the voice coil to the terminals through a single layer spider suspension, all being driven by a copper-clad aluminum wire voice coil providing high efficiency and excellent power handling, complemented by a high strength neodymium motor that immerses the voice coil in a strong magnetic field.

You can expect excellent off-axis and transient response from this water-resistant speaker for a great, controlled sound, making an easy transition to a super tweeter.

Built for loud, clear vocal performance in tight, compact spaces, PRV Audio’s MT8MR400CF-NDY-4 SLIM midrange features a sensitivity of 95 dB (2.00V/1m) and weighs about 1.63 pounds! 4 ohm impedance. MOTO Series is dedicated to delivering outstanding pro audio performance to your motorsports application.

Everything about this speaker has been designed for reliable and consistent high output levels in a wide frequency bandwidth between 120 and 12,000 Hz, giving you the option of eliminating the need for a super tweeter on your system!

*Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.

**Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
